BASF is in plans to shut down its Ethylene glycol (EG) plant in Antwerp. A source in Belgium informed a team member, “The company is likely to halt operations at the plant by end-October/early-November, 2025 for a maintenance turnaround. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Antwerp, Belgium, the EG plant has a production capacity of 325,000 mt/year.
