Asian polybutylene terephthalate inched down during the week to Oct. 28, as sellers lowered prices amid buyer resistance, with demand remaining soft from India ahead of festive holidays. PBT FOB China prices down $10/metric ton week over week at $1,490/mt on Oct. 28, considering offers heard lower at around and above $1,500/mt. "The market has calmed down a bit. With prices on the high side, buyers don’t want to commit. This has caused PBT prices to decline by 0.5%-1% this week," a UNV1 producer said. A Southeast Asian buyer observed the same, adding that PBT prices were slightly weaker during the week. "We heard that a FOB China offer has been reduced from $1,520/mt in the previous week to about $1,500/mt currently," the buyer said. "The market is very dull....
