EDC prices soften amid competitive cargo Asian ethylene dichloride spot import prices declined in the week to Aug. 14 amid competitive deepsea cargoes, as well as bearish downstream PVC. CFR Far East Asia EDC down $10/mt in the week ended Aug. 14 at $180/mt, in line with tradable indications heard at $160-$190/mt while CFR Southeast Asia EDC was down $10/mt in the week ended Aug. 14 at $190/mt, in line with a trade heard at $190/mt early in the week and tradeable indications heard at $190/mt.
