Asahimas Chemical to start maintenance at No.3 VCM unit

Asahimas Chemical is in plans to shut down its No.3 Vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) unit in Cilegon. A source in Indonesia informed a team member, “The company is expected to halt operations at the unit by mid-October 2025 for maintenance. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Cilegon, Indonesia, the No.3 unit has a production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
