Asian recycled high-density polyethylene prices were stable to lower week over week May 13. Asian recycled HDPE natural film pellets as down $20/mt week over week to $880/mt FOB Southeast Asia. Asian recycled HDPE black blow-molding pellets as stable week over week at $560/mt FOB Southeast Asia. Most traders noted weaker demand. "Purchasing [is based] on leads," a recycler said. "Buyers have already bought more than enough." However, a trader said that stronger domestic demand in the US could lend support to prices in Southeast Asia. "US domestic recyclers are requesting more [production] material," the trader said. "This may raise competition for limited scrap supply."
