Long Son Petrochemical to bring BD unit on stream

Long Son Petrochemical is in plans to restart its Butadiene (BD) unit following a prolong shutdown. A source in Vietnam informed a team member, “The company is likely to restart the unit by second half of October 2025. The unit was shut in mid-October, 2024 along with an upstream cracker due to a tepid demand outlook and contraction in production margins operations.” Located in Long Son, Vietnam, the BD unit has a production capacity of 110,000 mt/year.
