US Gulf benzene spot prices slightly rose on Oct. 24, despite a slight fall in energy prices on the day. A trade was heard to be done in the Houston Texas City region for FOB October loading at 248 cents/gal. And a second trade was heard to be done in the Lower Mississippi River region for DDP November loading at 245 cents/gal. The market saw slight strength on the day, despite the November contract price trading window coming to a close next week. Bid and offer ranges for prompt material were limited, as few trading days remain in October. Prompt-month benzene spot prices fell 3 cents/gal over the week.
