Asian Styrene Monomer CFR China and FOB Korea markers at $865/mt and $855/mt Sept. 19, both down $11/mt from the last assessment, tracking the decline in the domestic China market. The front-month November EB2511 styrene monomer futures contract listed on the Dalian Commodities Exchange was at Yuan 6,992/mt Sept. 19, falling Yuan 82/mt day over day as of the close of the afternoon trading session at 3 pm Beijing time. In Southeast Asia, a producer noted that “demand remains stable to weak.” Another producer in the region shared that term discussions have not yet started, but they are “likely to kick off at the end of September.” Crude oil futures extended their decline in mid-afternoon Asian trading on Sept. 19, after settling lower for two consecutive sessions amid ongoing worries...
