South Asian polypropylene prices rose in the week to Sept. 30, as a week-over-week rise in upstream costs prompted sellers to raise their offers; however, a moderating demand due to persistent high prices in India, the largest consumer of the polymer by volume in the region, led sellers to review their indications lower, market participants said. PP raffia/injection grade up $10/mt week over week at $1,380/mt CFR South Asia on Sept. 30, below the lowest offer heard and corroborated at $1,385/mt CFR South Asia, above a bid at $1,350/mt and within tradable indications heard at $1,370-$1,385/mt CFR South Asia.
