Celanese is likely to bring on stream its acetic acid unit in Pulau Sakra. An industry source in Singapore informed a team member, “The company plans to resume operations at the unit by the first half of October 2025. The unit had been shut down for maintenance in mid-August 2025. However, no confirmation was obtained from an authorized representative.” Located in Pulau Sakra, Singapore, the unit has a production capacity of 600,000 mt/year.
