Amid firmer feedstock costs, India’s recycled PET market prices rose week over week, with assessing premium bottle-grade flakes containing less than 30 ppm at $810/mt FOB India on
Dec. 17, up $5/mt week over week. Thin trading activity kept R-PET food-grade pellets, with a minimum intrinsic viscosity of 0.8, assessed at $1,150/mt FOB India, unchanged week over week. The domestic ex-works price also remained steady at Rupees 100/kg ex-works India. Market participants noted that higher prices have not spurred demand or trading activity. However, players anticipate a stronger 2026 as local mandate enforcement is expected to take effect in the new year. Bottle bale prices were heard around Rupees 46.50/kg on India’s west coast.
