India PVC: Prices drop on lower discussions, softer domestic market / PVC SE Asia down $25/mt at $625/mt / PVC CFR China stable at $690/mt

The CFR India PVC suspension grade market experienced a notable decline in prices in the week ended Nov. 19, driven by lower import price discussions and a softer domestic market. An India-based trader, on Nov. 19, indicated weakness in the domestic market with PVC rates heard around Rupees 62-64/kg. India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. had also reduced its local PVC prices, effective Nov. 15. An international supplier, on Nov. 19, said there was no new offer from them in the Indian market as they are assessing the market situation regarding regulatory announcements. A major domestic producer also acknowledged a significant drop in the price indications for imported material on Nov. 19.
