Pengerang Refining and Petrochemical (Pref-Chem) has taken off stream its High-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant. A source in Malaysia while requesting to remain unidentified informed a team member, “The company halted operations at the plant earlier this week. The duration of the shutdown remains unclear, and no confirmation has been provided by any recognized authority.” Located in Pengerang, Malaysia, the plant has a production capacity of 400,000 mt/year.
