Asian Polypropylene market prices showed mixed movement in the week to May 13, amid diverging market fundamentals between China and the rest of Southeast Asia. CFR Far East Asia raffia-grade polypropylene down $5/metric ton week over week at $1,240/mt May 13. The Chinese PP markets were reported to be bullish across the week as sellers face tighter feedstock and lower run rates. Several traders across China reported that lower seller inventories have continued to drive domestic prices higher. PP Raffia China domestic up Yuan 150/mt week over week at Yuan 9,600/mt May 13. However, the higher domestic prices have not translated into stronger Chinese export prices as PP FOB China down $5/mt week over week at $1,260/mt May 13. Chinese traders attributed it to poor buying sentiments in Southeast Asia....
