Asia Polyols, Isocyanates source Asian polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate and toluene diisocyanate prices weakened while slabstock polyol prices were stable in the week ended Oct. 10. CFR India polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate down $5/mt week over week at $1,645/mt Oct. 10, below offers at $1,650/mt and above tradable indications at $1,600/mt from buyers. The PMDI assessment is at its lowest since initiated the assessment. Ex-tank Kandla PMDI prices were stable to lower week over week in the range of Rupees 142-157/kg. A Japan-based producer said there is currently a slowdown in the market. It added, “We are at maximum discounts; beyond this, we will have breakeven issues.” An Indian trader said that a fire at a US-based plant can divert supplies from China to the US, causing shortages in India....
