Southeast Asian LLDPE prices fell sharply in the week to Oct. 22, amid waning buying appetite and continued supply of competitively-priced US cargoes into the region. LLDPE Butene CFR Southeast Asia down $40/ mt week over week at $855/mt Oct. 22, while LLDPE Butene CFR Vietnam was down $35/mt at $860/mt over the same period. A Southeast Asian trader said it was difficult to move cargoes due to the wide buy-sell gap. Buyers were not in a hurry to purchase due to high inventory levels and were willing to wait for lower prices. “US cargoes are already flooding the market.
