Asian MMA-PMMA: China prices soften on inventory clearances / Spot trading activity remains thin / China sellers turn to domestic market

The Asian methyl methacrylate market was down $5/mt week over week Nov. 5 for MMA CFR China and down $10/ mt for MMA CFR Southeast Asia during the same period. MMA CFR China was at $1,175/mt while the CFR Southeast Asia price fell week over week to $1,220/mt amid persistent weak demand. Spot trades remained thin in the MMA market, with a trader in Singapore stating that "customers [were] mostly managing within contractual offtake volumes." Buying interest levels on a CFR Southeast Asia basis were heard at about $1,200/mt for November. The thin trading discussions for MMA would likely last beyond 2025, remaining status quo for the 2026 outlook, another Singapore-based trader said.
