The uptrend in Asian orthoxylene lost steam during the week ending Feb. 6, amid softer feedstock prices and thin discussions heard in the market. In China, supply uncertainty lingered in the OX market for March cargoes, according to some sellers and trading sources in Asia. While February cargoes were heard to have sold out, spot supply is expected to remain limited for March-loading, with some producers fulfilling term contracts or saving inventory for captive demand.
