monoethylene glycol CFR China up $10/metric ton from the previous close at $690/mt on Aug. 28, with end- September discussions heard about $690-$700/mt, reversing the week’s opening level of $745/mt on Aug. 25, while the domestic market traded above 6,190 yuan/mt ex-tank. The week’s trajectory was defined by a sharp midweek fall. The domestic China fell 465 yuan/mt on Aug. 26 to 5,725 yuan/mt ex-tank as EG2609 futures fell 361 yuan/mt to 5,243 yuan/mt, the largest daily futures drop during the period, before stabilizing at 5,685 yuan/mt on both Aug. 27 and Aug. 28.
