Asian paraxylene prices were higher day over day Feb. 6, tracking gains in upstream markets. the Asian paraxylene CFR Taiwan/China and FOB Korea markers at $898/mt and $879/mt, respectively, both up $5.33/mt day over day, on Feb. 6. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures contract fell 7 cents/b day over day to $68.18/b Feb. 6, while assessed the naphtha C+F Japan marker $1.625/mt lower during the same period at $602.625/mt. PTA and PX futures both closed higher compared to the previous trading session, with the PTA2605 and PX2603 contracts listed on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange closing at Yuan 5,166/mt and Yuan 7,172/mt, respectively, each rising Yuan 22/mt and Yuan 74/mt day over day.
