PTT Global Chemical to operate LLDPE units at lower rates

PTT Global Chemical (GC) is likely to run its Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) unit at curtailed capacity levels. A source in Thailand informed a team member, “The company plans to operate its unit at reduced rates starting early November 2025. The reason for the production cut remains unclear, and confirmation from an official source is still pending.” Located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the unit have a production capacity of 800,000 mt/year.
