Asian nylon-6 prices fell in the week to Sept. 24, as slower downstream demand ahead of the Golden Week holidays and inventory pressure weighed on the market. Offer levels from producers were mostly lower during the week, with sales reportedly subdued despite inventory holders' inclination to offload due to immense inventory and cash flow pressure, according to sources. "Despite sellers' efforts to slash prices and facilitate deals, the downstream sector shows little interest in stocking up before the holidays," a Chinese producer said.
