Sinopec Yangzi to halt production at No.2 HDPE unit

Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical is likely to shut down its No.2 High density polyethylene (HDPE) unit in Nanjing. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is in plans to take the unit off stream from September 10, 2025 for maintenance, with operations expected to remain offline until September 17, 2025. However, confirmation from an authorized source is still pending.” Located in Nanjing, China, the No.2 HDPE unit has a production capacity of 80,000 mt/year.
