Asian MTBE FOB Singapore at $688.54/mt on Feb. 20, up $10.27/mt day over day, tracking strength in related gasoline and upstream values. Crude oil futures rose in Asian afternoon trading Feb. 20 as US-Iran tensions persisted and US inventories. At 2:26 pm Singapore time (0626 GMT), the ICE April Brent crude oil futures contract rose 57 cents/b (0.80%) from the previous close to $72.23/b, while the NYMEX March light sweet crude contract increased 57 cents/b (0.86%) to $67/b. Iran has conducted military drills in the Strait of Hormuz and the US has sent a large number of aircraft and warships to the Middle East, according to media reports, while also imposing tariffs on Iranian trade.
