The Asian methyl methacrylate market ended the week of Oct. 15-22 slightly lower amid sluggish demand cues, with MMA CFR China declining $5/metric ton week over week to $1,190/mt while the CFR Southeast Asia price fell $10/mt over the week to $1,235/mt. MMA CFR China was down in line with the domestic China MMA market, which is expected to soften further as trading activity remains limited, one producer in North Asia said. “The price of MMA [is likely to] drop in the China market [but remain] stable for [the] Asian market,” the producer said.
