Asian orthoxylene prices unchanged week over week at $725/mt CFR China, $720/mt FOB China and $760/mt FOB Korea, despite tighter supplies as demand cues remained muted. Chinese producers were likely cutting supplies, which may throttle spot cargo availability in January, a trader in Singapore said. “Not much happening [and some Chinese producers] cut production so not much offers in the market,” the trader said. However, this did little to prop up prices and sentiment in the spot market, the same trader said.
