Asian isomer-MX prices rose $5/mt day over day to $708/ mt FOB Korea, $730/mt CFR Taiwan and $713/mt CFR China on Nov. 14. At 2:47 pm Singapore time (0647 GMT), the ICE January Brent futures contract was up 89 cents/b or 1.41% from the previous close at $63.90/b, while the NYMEX December light sweet crude contract was up 93 cents/b or 1.58% day over day at $59.62/b. Market participants continued to observe a buying appetite for December loading cargoes, but no selling interest was heard. December was assessed at $708/mt FOB Korea, above a bid heard at $707/mt during the Market on Close assessment process. “I do hear iso-MX moving to [the] US all along from [South] Korea,” a Northeast Asia-based trader said.
