INEOS Zhuhai is likely to take off-stream its No.2 Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is planning to shut the unit for maintenance in October 2025. However, the exact date and duration of the shutdown remain uncertain, and confirmation from an official source has not been obtained.” Located in Zhuhai, China, the No.2 PTA unit has a production capacity of 1.1 million mt/year.
