The Indian styrene monomer market softened in the week to April 10 amid lower trade discussions and a price drop in the Chinese market. the CFR China styrene monomer marker down $25/mt day over day to $1,310/mt on April 10. In India, price indications for imported material were lower through the week, even as domestic styrene market rates also fell during the same period. An India-based trader said on April 10 that domestic offer levels in India are considerably lower than in early April. A supplier based in India also acknowledged a drop in offer prices for cargoes from adjacent markets. Meanwhile, the premium to China was steady week over week at $140/mt on April 10.
