The Indian recycled PET continued to be further lower week over week, with the premium bottle grade flakes down $20/mt week over week to be assessed at $800/mt FOB India for flakes containing less than 30 ppm as of Sept. 24 amid poor demand both locally and in the export markets. Lower virgin prices also added pressure to the recycled markets, said a source. The R-PET food-grade pellets with a minimum intrinsic viscosity of 0.8 were at $1,130/mt FOB India, down $5/mt week over week amid thin demand and a continued drop in the parallel feedstock market.
