Asian polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, toluene diisocyanate and slabstock polyol prices rose in the week ended March 6, supported by persistent supply constraints, rising ocean freight rates, and firmer feedstock costs. CFR India polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate at $2,100/metric ton March 6, up $300/mt week over week, below a selling indication heard from a producer at $2,300/ mt CFR India, for cargoes of 100-300 mt volume, and considering a rise in the container freight. The assessment also took into consideration higher domestic prices at Rupee 190-210/kilogram, as compared to Rupee 168-175/ kg in the previous week.
