India’s light distillate imports fell 20.57% month over month to 1.807 million metric tons in February amid lower LPG inflows, provisional data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell showed March 24. The country’s gasoline exports fell 1.36% month over month and 17.79% year over year to 1.686 million mt in February amid lower production, the data showed. Gasoline production fell 7.87% month over month to 3.845 million mt in February. Looking ahead, gasoline exports were expected to decline in March as crude oil inflows from the Middle East fell amid conflict in the region, disrupting flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
