Glacial acrylic acid ex-works North and East China up Yuan 50/mt day over day and Yuan 275/mt higher week over week at Yuan 7,125/mt on Sept. 16. A producer based in Northeast Asia said that there were talks that some GAA factories in China were stocking up cargoes in preparation for future turnarounds, which has caused prompt supplies to tighten slightly, thereby propping up spot prices. However, another producer based in China noted that "supply is not really considered tight and that downstream demand can mostly be fulfilled."
