Asian MTBE: Prices in Singapore fall to month low / Singapore exports over 125,00 mt in Oct / China-Europe arbitrage narrows

Asian MTBE FOB Singapore closed at $635.15/mt on Nov. 21, down $8.13/mt day over day from Nov. 20, owing to gradually softening Singapore 92 RON and crude oil futures. Crude oil futures fell further in midmorning Asian trade on Nov. 21 amid rising optimism over a potential US-backed plan to conclude the Russia-Ukraine war. At 2:17 pm Singapore time (0617 GMT), the ICE January Dated Brent futures contract fell by 64 cents/b (1.01%) from the previous close to $62.74/b, while the NYMEX December light sweet crude contract fell by 69 cents/b (1.17%) from the previous close to $58.31/b. Spot trading discussions continued to remain thin for MTBE in Singapore, with the focus turned to term discussions.
