The European mixed xylenes spot market premiums continued to climb in the week ending Aug. 28, driven by robust gasoline blending demand and tightening supply in Northwest Europe. the M1 August MX CIF ARA premium to Eurobob gasoline at $260/mt on Aug. 28, up $12.75/mt week over week. Demand was driven primarily by the gasoline blending sector, with market sources indicating a growing preference for mixed xylenes over toluene. Additional buying interest continued to emerge from Eastern Europe, linked to unconfirmed supply-side outages in the region. These disruptions further tightened product availability in Northwest Europe.
