Sinopec Mitsui Chemicals halts production at BPA plant

Sinopec Mitsui Chemicals has taken off stream its Bisphenol A (BPA) plant in Caojing. A source in China informed a team member, “The company is heard to have halted operations at the plant on September 9, 2025, for maintenance. The duration of the shutdown has not yet been determined, and no official statement has been released by the concerned authority.” Located in Caojing, Shanghai, China, the BPA plant has a production capacity of 120,000 mt/year.
