US West Coast Light End Daily Commentary / LA gasoline surpasses $4/gal / May CARBOB rises 10.63 cents to $4.0642/gal / SF gasoline holds below $4/gal mark

Los Angeles gasoline rose above $4/gallon on April 23 as began assessing May deliveries. It was the first time the fuel has surpassed that level since September 2023. LA CARBOB was assessed at June NYMEX RBOB futures plus 73 cents/gallon. The outright price followed the futures higher, gaining 10.63 cents to close at $4.0642/gal. San Francisco CARBOB for May was unchanged day over day amid a lack of competitive positions heard in the market. it at futures plus 66 cents/gal, keeping the outright value slightly under $4/gal at $3.9984/gal.
