Asian polypropylene prices moved in mixed directions during the week ended Sept. 30. domestic Chinese raffia-grade polypropylene at 10,000 yuan/metric ton ex-works China, up 150 yuan/mt week over week. Prices continued to rise on cost-based support as domestic propylene prices edged higher. assessed propylene poly grade, at 9,700 yuan/mt in both East China and Shandong, up 200 yuan/mt and 250 yuan/mt, respectively, week over week. “The selling price of PP is not sufficient to cover production costs,” a China-based trader said.
