Asian Benzene: Prices fall on lower MOC trades / Domestic China market declines on fund exits: analyst / Increasing benzene supplies into Europe heard: traders

Asian benzene $11/mt lower on the session at $764.67/mt FOB Korea Feb. 6, amid lower Market on Close assessment process trades. Upstream, the front-month ICE Brent futures contract declined 7 cents/b on the trading session to $68.18/b, while the naphtha C+F Japan marker $1.63/mt lower over the session at $602.63/mt. During the MOC two trades were reported. Gunvor sold a March-loading FOB Korea cargo to GS Caltex at $764/mt. Gunvor sold an April-loading FOB Korea cargo to GS Caltex at $768/mt. In the FOB Korea market, the contango structure between the March and H1 April laycans widened. the March and H1 April laycans at $763/mt and $768/mt, respectively, placing the intermonth contango at $5/mt, widening from the intraday contango level at $3.50/mt.
