Asian Toluene: Prices fall tracking crude weakness / Northeast Asian demand remains weak / CFR Southeast Asia marker rises $73/mt on week

Asian toluene $15/metric ton lower from the previous close at $1,059/mt FOB Korea and $1,058/mt FOB China April 10 as crude prices fell. In upstream crude oil markets, the ICE June Brent crude oil futures fell 71 cents/b, or 0.7%, day over day to $97.590/b at 8:30 am GMT in Asian trade April 10. Earlier during the day, an offer was floated at $1,060/mt for 2,000 mt of toluene, but it expired without any buyers accepting it. During the Market on Close assessment process, no bids and offers were heard. A Northeast Asian producer said no toluene inquiries were heard. Another Northeast Asian producer said solvent supply remained tight but the toluene market witnessed some demand, adding that interest in bulk cargo was thin, leading to weak demand. A trader...
