Asian toluene down $7/mt from the previous close at $1,064.00/mt FOB Korea and $1,071.00/mt FOB China on Sept. 4. During the Market on Close assessment process, no bids and offers were observed in the FOB Korea market. No trades were concluded before the end of the Market on Close assessment process. A Northeast Asian producer told that toluene- naphtha spread is quite high, leaving less room to go higher. The spread between the FOB Korea toluene marker and the benchmark CFR Japan naphtha physical was recorded at $201/ mt, $15/mt narrower day over day from $216/mt.
