Asian Toluene: Prices rise due to stronger demand from Indian market / Toluene above downstream benzene in FOB Korea market / Singapore weekly gasoline exports more than double

The toluene price as $26.50/mt higher than the previous close at $673/mt FOB Korea on Oct. 31, while the FOB China marker was $12/mt higher day over day at $676/mt, due to stronger demand from India, according to market sources. Higher toluene prices pushed the benzene-toluene spread to minus $13/mt on Oct. 31, a level last seen in October 2023. the FOB Korea second-half November laycan at $676/mt, up $29/mt day over day, while the H1 December laycan rose $24/mt over the session to $670/mt, as the H2 November-December backwardation structure widened to plus $6/mt from plus $1/mt, above a bid heard at plus $5/mt.
