Asian Styrene Monomer CFR China at $985/metric ton and FOB Korea at $987/mt on Jan. 30, both down $24/mt day over day, following a weaker domestic Chinese market. The March EB2603 SM futures contract listed on the Dalian Commodity Exchange fell Yuan 198/mt day over day to Yuan 7,715/ mt as of 3 pm Beijing time Jan. 30. Prices retreated from near 11-month highs Jan. 29 as crude oil fell, said a China-based producer. “Crude prices have been the focus for the rise in styrene prices over the past few days, so the drop today is significant,” the producer said.
