MOM in June styrene monomer CFR China and FOB Korea at $1,117.50/metric ton and $1,102.50/mt, respectively, on July 17, stable day over day, amid relative stability in the adjacent FOB China and domestic China markets. The August EB2608 SM futures contract listed on the Dalian Commodity Exchange edged up Yuan 2/mt day over day to Yuan 8,595/mt on July 17, in the afternoon trading session at 3 pm Beijing time. The FOB China marker, which considers the H1 and H2 August laycans, was assessed stable day over day at $1,130/mt, maintaining a $6/mt premium to the CFR China marker. “Spot trading was subdued, with buyers mainly filling gaps for the following month [August],” a China-based broker said.
