The Asian recycled LDPE market prices remained rangebound in the week to Aug. 26, on stable demand. Asian recycled low-density polyethylene natural film up $5/mt week over week at $895/mt Aug. 26. According to a trader, overall demand for recycled LDPE has been stable since last week. “Not many customers are asking for material,” a Southeast Asian recycler said, indicating a generally bearish market. A Malaysian recycler indicated a steady flow of inquiries from Indian customers as the market exits election season and approaches the Diwali season. However, actual sales have been thin, as price expectations from Indian customers remain low.
