Asian recycled high-density polyethylene natural film pellets down on weak demand day over day at $730/ metric ton FOB Southeast Asia on Sept. 17. Prime resin remained easier to use and was readily available, sources said. The pricing spread between Asian recycled high-density polyethylene natural pellets and virgin HDPE was down $10/mt at minus $125/mt, with weaker market fundamentals seen for the latter. In general, the 2025 annual price spread between recycled and virgin HDPE, at around negative $100-$150/mt, had been steadily rising from its lowest point of negative $215/mt in June 2024 due to slightly higher recycled pricing on tight bale supply. Although the recycled grades with the Global recycled Standard were heard to be discussed at 20% higher, sources said this grade was hardly traded and not representative...
