Asian polyvinyl chloride prices showed mixed trends in the week to Sept. 30, as seaborne markets remained stable amid limited market discussions while China’s domestic and export prices firmed on improved sentiment following policy announcements. PVC CFR China at $855/mt on Sept. 30, unchanged week over week, while PVC CFR Southeast Asia was steady at $825/mt. A South Korean producer described the Chinese import market as subdued ahead of the weeklong National Day holiday in China from Oct. 1-7. In Southeast Asia, participants noted limited market activity and no changes in offers, while a Southeast Asian producer described the Vietnam market as slower.
