GPPS CFR China at $1,470/mt Sept. 30, up $30/mt week over week. Earlier in the week, a trade was heard in the CFR China market for 50-100 mt of GPPS at $1,480/mt. “This week, there was a significant increase in both benzene and styrene prices,” a Northeast Asia-based producer said, citing the rise in feedstock as the reason for higher transacted prices. Upstream, styrene monomer CFR China and FOB Korea at $1,394/mt and $1,434/mt on Sept. 30, up $8/mt day over day, supported by lower inventories in China.
