Trading was thin in the Asian propylene markets Oct. 2, as Chinese participants were away for the Chinese Golden Week holidays from Oct. 1 to 7. propylene CFR China stable day over day at $1,225/mt, while East China and Shandong prices were unchanged day over day at Yuan 9,700/mt. A South Korean market participant said South Korea's November supply could be tighter amid lowered operating rates. LG Chem will shut its No. 1 naphtha-fed steam cracker in Yeosu for a one-and-a-half-month planned turnaround in the second half of October, reported earlier. In Southeast Asia, prices were rangebound across the week. The CFR Southeast Asia marker was stable at $1,250/ mt, with demand-supply fundamentals holding largely steady.
