Chinese polypropylene prices strengthened in the week to Sept. 2 on the back of higher feedstock propylene prices. domestic Chinese raffia up 200 yuan/metric ton day over day and up 400 yuan/mt week over week at 9,550 yuan/mt ex-works China. PP Raffia FOB China up $20/mt day over day and up $30/mt week over week at $1,155/mt FOB China. Market sources said the price uptick was mainly due to stronger crude oil prices amid the ongoing Iran-US conflict. The October ICE Brent crude oil futures rose $2.65/barrel, or 2.83%, day over day to $94.940/b as of 8:30 am GMT Sept. 2. In Vietnam, trading remained thin amid the Vietnamese National Day holidays.
